A Scented Celebration: Crafting Perfumes at Fleurage
There are many ways to celebrate a milestone birthday, but few are as evocative, creative, and deeply personal as the experience recently enjoyed by a group of six women with us at Fleurage. Nestled in an intimate, art-filled space where perfume is both passion and practice, this unforgettable session was not just about fragrance—it was about memory, identity and the pure joy of creation.
Hosted by Fleurage’s master perfumer in her private scent studio, the gathering brought the birthday group into a world where perfume isn’t simply worn—it’s designed. Each guest worked with the perfumer to create a signature fragrance from scratch. Starting with conversations about scent memories, preferences and personality, the experience unfolded into a creative collaboration, drop by drop. From floral and citrus to spicy or woody undertones, each woman’s final perfume was as unique as her story.
The Fleurage studio itself feels like stepping into a sensory library. Shelves lined with books on art, fragrance and culture flank a central workspace surrounded by hundreds of rare and exotic oils. Objects d’art, curiosities and fragrant treasures from around the world hint at the inspirations behind each bottle. The atmosphere is calm yet curious—a place where creativity seems to hang in the air.
What made the day even more special was the way it combined luxury with intimacy. Rather than a commercial production line, this was a hands-on, deeply thoughtful process. Every formula was tailored, every bottle filled by its maker and every scent born from imagination, conversation and emotion.
As the afternoon ended, each guest left with her own handcrafted perfume—an aromatic keepsake of the celebration, a reminder of friendship and milestone moments.
